WHAT IS CRYOTHERAPY AND WHAT DOES IT TREAT?

The Accurett device is an advanced cryotherapy innovation that is a fast, effective, safe solution, for removal of superfi cially skin imperfections. Procedures typically last from 2 – 5 seconds so you can be in and out of the salon quickly.

The Accurett emits a fi ne jet of carbon dioxide under high pressure, which allows the technician to work with millimetre precision. This destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fl uid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. That means there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue. It’s so incredibly accurate and practical.

Procedures such as age spots and sun or environmentrelated pigment spots are commonly observed in aesthetic practice. With the availability of the Accurett, a state of the art solution for these skin imperfections has come true.

THE PROCESS

The Accurett’s accuracy to the millimetre is achieved by pointing a jet of carbon dioxide directly towards the lesion and freezing.

Accurett is ideal for the beauty market. We provide full training to combine theory and practical. You will be able to use the Accurett to treat two or three models.

On completion of your training you will receive certification of competence and marketing material for Accurett. Training will be provided in our reginal training centres.

Applications

THE APPLICATION

THE CONCEPT

Cryotherapy is the controlled destruction of unwanted tissue by the precise application of extreme cold.

  • Freeze enough to achieve tissue necrosis
  • Limit the freeze to prevent collateral damage

Rapid freezing to minus -27°c or more will produce cryonecrosis in all benign lesions.

THE PRODUCT

The Acurrett uses 8g Carbon Dioxide ampoule. There are 24 – 8g ampoules in a box with each ampoule having a 100 second gas flow.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are there any side effects?

The area treated is frozen by cryotherapy. This kills the localised cells in the area which cause them to shrivel and die. The treated area may get darker in a few weeks, but will return to normal pigmented skin in about 6 weeks.

How long are Accurett Pen treatments?

The duration of the treatment time will depend on the surface area and the thickness of the tissue being treated. Upon the beautician’s evaluation of the depth of the area, the beautician will choose an application time from 2 to 5 seconds.

How much will the treatment cost?

The cost of treatment will depend on the clinic and the size of the area. Make an appointment with your beautician to discuss costs and to assess your area.

How safe is cryotherapy?

Cryotheraphy is a relatively low risk procedure. Accurett delivers C02 directly to the area, and not the healthy surrounding tissue. Accurett is both CE and FDA registered.

Is the treatment painful?

There will be a minimal pain sensation similar to a stinging nettle on the skin when the carbon dioxide reaches the bottom of the area. There might be a little residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment.
